Camp Adventure

Camp Adventure is back again for its 3rd year!  This summer, for one week only, the Parks & Rec is offering a full day summer camp that will travel to fun destination throughout the state.  We will hit the beach, lakes, waterpark and other locations full of fun.  The last 2 summers were such a blast and we are excited to bring it back again with the same awesome counselors.  This camp does fill up so don't wait too long to send in your registration.  

Camp Dates: Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31, 2020 Camp Hours: Meeting at the Safety Complex at 8:30 am and returning at 4:30 pm Ages: For students entering grades 5-8 in the 2020-2021 school year. Fee: $279 for the week (full payment is due at the time of registration) Registration Dates: Auburn Residents-starting January 1, Non-Residents- starting May 1

Winter Carnival

The Parks and Recreation Department and the Fire Department will once again be sponsoring the Annual Winter Carnival.  This event will be held on Saturday, February 1 at the Skating Rink at the Safety Complex from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The Winter Carnival will include open skate time with a DJ, the annual burning of the Christmas Trees, roasting marshmallows as well as hamburgers, and hot chocolate.  Please keep in mind that this event is dependent on the weather.   As we get closer to the day, we will post any updates or changes on our Facebook page (@AuburnNHParksandRec) and on this website.  

Teen Council

The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated teens in grades 7-12 to join the Teen Council.   Members will advise the Parks and Recreation staff regarding the concerns and interests of today's youth and teens. Teen Council members will build leadership skills and work experience through assisting with the planning and implementing of programs such as field trips, community events, and classes for youth and teens. There is no fee to join the Teen Council. If your teen (or pre-teen) is interested in joining, please email Amy at   

Tai Chi for Seniors

Tai Chi is a mind-body exercise from China. It has its roots in martial arts, philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Tai Chi forms are slow, gentle choreographed movements that gracefully flow from one to the next like a dance.  More and more seniors are doing Tai Chi to improve their health and reduce their risk of falling. The current session is Fridays at 11:00 am at the Safety Complex from September 20-November 22.  The 10-week session will cost $59. Junior Chefs

Junior Chefs, with instructor Jen Anderson, is a cooking program for children ages 7 and over. At Junior Chefs, our young gourmets to learn how to mix, measure and bake their own delicious creations.  This class will be offered once a month (see dates below) at the Longmeadow Church from 4:00-5:30 pm.  Each class is $24. You can sign up for one, two or all.  Each month has a different class theme for the season.  Pre-registration is required and space is limited.  The form is found on the Rec Forms page.
