Lead by AVS Basketball Coach and Teacher, Coach DeGraffe along with Coach Howell, this is a weeklong co-ed basketball camp where players will have the ability to work on ball handling and defensive skills as well as learn about how to move and handle themselves on the court. The basketball style that is the foundation of this camp is to teach players how to make choices on the court that maximizes their own set of skills. This style teaches players the basics “rules” for an offence and lets the player use their own creativity on the court to make decisions at game speed.
Defensively players will learn the basic and advanced skills for setting up and creating a man to man defense on their own and how to make adjustments at game speed. Concepts and position for different situations will be introduced and when they are used will become a part of their decision-making process on the court.
