​Camp Adventure

The Auburn Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer our first summer day camp, “Camp Adventure”.  This day camp is offered only one week this year, August 6 through August 10 for students entering grades 5-8 for the 2018-2019 school year. 

Camp Adventure will meet at AVS at 8:30 am.  The campers will hop on the bus and travel throughout the state on fun adventures to lakes, beaches and even a water park.  We will return to AVS at 4:30 pm.  The best part is that this camp will be staffed with some of the best AVS teachers and staff

The cost for the week of Camp Adventure is $259.  Registration begins on March 1st for Auburn residents and May 1st for non-residents.   To register, please send in the form, that can be found under "forms",  along with payment.  Registration is first come, first serve.  Reservations cannot be made over the phone or through email.  Once registered, you’ll receive paperwork to complete as well as more information about the events of the week.   If you have any questions, please call the Parks and Rec at 483-5052 x101 or email recreation@townofauburnNH.com


Junior Chefs and Little Chefs

Jennifer Anderson teaches our young chefs how to measure, mix and bake their own delicious creations.  Little Chefs is offered to our youngest gourmets.  These children, ages 3-5, will cook along with their parent/grandparent/caregiver at 1:00-2:00 pm.  The Junior Chefs, students ages 6 and over, will meet from 4:00- 5:00 pm.  Both groups will meet at Longmeadow Church.  The date and themes are as follows…

·         April 9th- Breakfast and Brunch

·         May 14th- Healthy Snacks

·         June 11th- Fun Summer Lunches

Each class is $19.  You can sign up for one, two or all.  To register, use the registraiton form that is found on the "forms" page and return to the Parks and Recreation Department.   


Fast Track Summer Running Program

Fast Track Running Program is back for another year.  This summer running program, led by AVS Cross Country Head Coach and 8th grade teacher, Tim Hamilton, is designed to give student athletes a leg up in all areas of fitness and health for fall sports.  This program is designed to boost endurance and provide an opportunity to enter fall sport in prime condition so all athletes can excel on the course or on the field.  The workouts will be comprised of stretching, conditioning drills, nutrition information, running workouts and active games. 

Schedule:  8:00 – 10:30 am on August 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 22 & 23 at the Safety Complex Meeting Room.

Ages:  This program is designed for students entering grades 5 -8

Price:  Early bird price of $99 before June 1st.  The cost will be $129 after that date. 

Limit:  There is a limit of 25 participants with a final registration deadline of July 9th.  Don’t delay.  This program could fill up quickly.  Please use registration that can be found under "forms".
