On behalf of all of the men and women of the Auburn Fire Department, welcome to our portion of the Town of Auburn website!

The Auburn Fire Department is a combination full-time and paid on-call department.  The central station at the Auburn Safety Complex is normally staffed with two full-time firefighter/ EMT's Monday through Friday during the business day. The full-time personnel provide initial response for fires, emergency medical and other calls for service, in addition to providing routine vehicle maintenance, building maintenance, fire inspection services, community outreach and education, and other preventative activities.

In the event of an emergency or during the evening and weekend time periods, the 40 on-call volunteer firefighters will be called in to service. In addition to the fire fighter certification, the overwhelming majority of Auburn's firefighters are certified emergency medical technicians.
