ADVERTISEMENT FOR

PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS

TOWN OF AUBURN, NEW HAMPSHIRE

TOWN OFFICE GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

 

The Town of Auburn, NH is currently pre-qualifying Contractors for the Town Office Improvements project. As of February 2010 Stantec Consulting Services has completed the Bid Documents for this project. The Phase One of the project includes:

 

§         Replacement of the building heating systems with a high efficiency boiler and heat recovery system

§         The addition of an efficient central AC system to replace wall AC units

§          Replacement of the entire electrical system.

§         Reconfiguration of the upper and lower levels including demolition of existing interior wall and construction of new walls and interior finishes

§         Replacement of lower level flooring

§         Full compliance with the International Building Code Requirements

 

 

Pre-qualification Statements and reference letters will be accepted by the Town of Auburn, until 2:00 PM., prevailing time, on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Construction is expected to start in the late spring of 2010.  Phase One of the project is estimated at around $250,000.  To be eligible to submit bid proposals, all individuals, firms, partnerships or corporations interested in bidding for construction MUST BE PRE-QUALIFIED.

 

Pre-qualification packages are available at the Town of Auburn Town Administrator’s office at 47 Chester Road Auburn, NH 03032 or at the office of Stantec Consulting (5 Dartmouth Drive Suite 101, Auburn NH 03032).  Contractors are encouraged to submit pre-qualification packages as soon as possible, so that they may be notified of omissions of information to be remedied or of their pre-qualification status well in advance of the bid advertisement for this project.

 

Pre-qualification statements and reference letters must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to: William Herman, CPM Town Administrator, Town of Auburn, 47 Chester Road (PO Box 309), Auburn NH 03032. The words “PRE-QUALIFICATION –Town Office Improvement Project” must be clearly and legibly marked on the outside of the envelope. Pre-qualification statements and reference letters must be received  at the Town of Auburn Town Administrators office at 47 Chester Road Auburn, NH 03032 by 2 PM prevailing time, Wednesday, April 7, 2010.

 

 

The Town reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and omissions in the information contained in the pre-qualification application submitted, to make all final determinations, and to determine at any time that the pre-qualification procedures will not be applied to a specific future public  works project.  Firms not pre-qualified will not be allowed to submit bid proposals. Pre-qualified firms will be notified when the Contract Documents for the project can be obtained for bidding. At that time, the bid opening date and location will be defined.

 

The intent of the Town of Auburn, NH is to endeavor to promote open and free competition on procurement transactions for this project.  Therefore, the Town's contractor pre-qualification requirements and bidding/procurement procedures are not intended to unduly restrict or eliminate competition, nor impose excessive experience or bonding requirements, nor give preference to local or in-state bidders.

 

All costs associated with the preparation of the prequalification statement are the responsibility of the Contractor.
