Voter Registration
New Hampshire residents who are United States citizens and who will be 18 years of age or older on election day, are eligible to vote. There is no minimum period of time you are required to have lived in the state before being allowed to register. You can only register in the town or ward in which you are domiciled.
You may register to vote at the Auburn Town Hall with the Town Clerk during regular office hours up to 10 days before any election or scheduled meeting. Qualified individuals may also register to vote at the polling place on election day at all elections. The polling place for Auburn is the Auburn Village School.
You may also register with the Supervisors of the Checklist. By law, they are required to meet on the Saturday 10 days prior to each election. Check the local newspaper(s) or call your clerk's office for the date and time of such meeting.
No matter when or where you register to vote, you will be required to fill out a voter registration form and you will be asked to show proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile.
Naturalized Citizens: If you are a naturalized citizen you will also need to provide proof of your citizenship or you will be asked to complete a Qualified Voter Affidavit signed under the penalties of voting fraud set forth by State Law.
