Library Trustee

Present: Nancy Mayland- Chair, David Griffin-Treasurer, Fay Hanscomb- Secretary, Sharon Bluhm- Alternate, Edie Cummings- Director

 

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved Mayland/Bluhm.

 

No treasurer report at this time.

 

The Publicity Job description (passed Mayland/Hanscomb) and Program Coordinator (passed Bluhm/Mayland) Job descriptions were approved. The Trustees will plan on meeting with Duffy Smiley and Deborah Dimitriadis in September to receive an update.
 

Edie still can't get computer #4 to print. Alliance will need to come back to add more memory in the checkout pc.

 

The Trustees spoke with Ashley O'leary about possible cleaning services for the library in the future.

 

Edie will give a # for books, DVD's and CD's for the insurance asset list.

 

Fay contacted the Chester Library Trustees to give them information about an upcoming NHLTA meeting in the fall. They are interested in attending.

Nancy attended the Candia Trustee meeting to give them the information. They are also interested in attending.
 

Fay will contact Leeann Chase about a date to dedicate a new reading chair in Dennis' name. The Library would like to have a small ceremony in his honor.

 

Fay will contact Peter Barbuto and tell him to wait to hear from us before he starts the cabinet lighting project. We need to know if he is using florescent or LED lighting and what we can do to protect the artifacts from the lighting in the cabinet . Sharon will consult with her son on what he would suggest.

 

Nancy made a motion to accept a donation from Kathleen Nixon in honor of her grandparents, Isabella and Frederick Nixon. Approved Bluhm/Griffin.

 

Edie has located the 2 panic buttons and has contacted central alarm about testing them. The Trustees have requested that one should be worn by one of the staff whenever they are working.

 

Nancy will call Paul Nevue to have him replace the broken glass in the front room cabinet. David might have some old glass available at his home.

 

Edie just found out that Virginia Dobelbower has been in the hospital for a few weeks. Fay will send her a get well card from the staff and Trustees.

 

Nancy and Fay will meet with Edie 7/15 @10:30 to organize asset list folder.

 

Plans are coming along for the Book Sale.

 

The next meeting will be on August 25 at 1pm.
