Present: David Griffin, Treasurer; Fay Hanscomb, Secretary; Sharon Bluhm, Alternate; Edie Cummings, Library Director and Nancy Mayland, absent
 

The previous month's minutes were read and accepted with the change of “ story time change is tentative”, Griffin/Bluhm.

 

Motion to accept Treasurer report, Hanscomb/ Bluhm
 

Jordan's will deliver the furniture on 2/25.

 

Sharon suggested that the existing table and chairs could be donated to the Ladies Circle for their yard sale (if they accept it). Fay moved to offer it to them, David second.

 

David checked with APD about the monetary question. They will get back to David.

 

A question about the new position of the Publicity/Program Coordinator, Fay will check with Nancy to see if the job descriptions are completed. If not when she returns we will finalize everything.
 

Edie checked with Lt. Linda and Lenny to find out when they would fix the antenna on the roof. They want to wait until the spring. Fay will follow up.
 

Edie and Fay will meet on a Thursday or Friday in the near future to form an up to date asset list.

 

Peter Barbuto came to replace the light on the peak of the building.

 

Edie hadn't updated the Circulation Policy to include Seniors that live outside the Auburn area. Fay suggested that she write it in and bring it to the next meeting to have it voted on.
 

Edie hasn't been able to find anyone for someone to lead Chess Club. Sharon suggested that a notice could be put in the church bulletin.

 

The front door window shade cord has broken. Fay will bring it back to JC Penny's.

 

A banister has come off of the front porch. Fay will have it repaired in the spring.

1535 check outs for January

 

4 juvenile and 17 adult new cards for the month.

 

At least 4 seniors have come into the library for the first time as a result of the talk she gave.

 

For Love your Library month the staff has a raffle for a basket and patrons are writing what they love about their library on a poster.

 

Daffodils will be sold again this year.

 

Movie night will be on a Wednesday night with Pagemaster, as the feature.

 

Mary and Edie will be attending the CHILLIS conference this spring to get ideas about the Sumer Reading Program.

 

Tim from Alliance hasn't come in to help the staff put Word onto the computers and also find out if the system is capable of Overdrive.

 

Staff procedure catalog is a work in progress. They held their monthly meeting next one scheduled for March 1st.
