Private Well Water Testing Opportunity

Private Well Water Testing Opportunity

Nelson Analytical Laboratories of Manchester is offering Auburn residents a convenient way to test their private well water quality.  The State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services recommends that private well water be tested on a regular basis, every 3 – 5 years.

Common analysis would include bacteria, nitrate/nitrite, iron, lead, chloride, arsenic, manganese, copper, fluoride, pH, hardness and sodium.   Additional testing could include radon and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)

Throughout the months of February and March water sample test kits will be available at the Auburn Town Hall.  Test kits will also be available at the Town Meeting.  Residents will be offered a 20% discount on the fees for analytic testing of private well water samples through Nelson Analytical Lab.

Residents will collect their own sample (directions and containers provided) and will have the ability to drop the sample off at Nelson Analytical Lab directly or utilize a centralized drop off at Auburn Town Hall on Monday, March 20th from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Samples must be delivered within 24 hours of taking the sample.

Results will be emailed directly to the homeowners.
