Conservation Commission

May 5, 2009

 

Present:   Duffy Smiley, Chairman, Anne Gagnon, Chuck Joy, Alan Villeneuve, Paul Raiche, Stephanie Hanson, Jeff Porter and Jill Morrison

 

Guests:  Ed & Velvet Fahrenbach

 

Duffy Smiley called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Easement Fahrenbach Property

 

Members and the public were asked for comments – Dale Phillips asked Ed Fahrenbach how he plans to use the land under the easement.  Ed replied he will be using it for his farming business.

 

Alan Villeneuve made a motion for the Conservation Commission to pay $250,000 to Ed & Velvet Fahrenbach for an easement on Ed’s property – 76.26 acres (Map 2 Lot 28).  Second – Jeff Porter.  All in favor.

 

Ed & Velvet Fahrenbach signed the easement, as did Duffy Smiley and Chuck Joy.  Dale Phillips notarized the signatures.

 

Alan Villeneuve made a motion to nominate Chuck Joy as the Conservation Commission Chairman.  Second - Jeff Porter.  All in favor.

 

Alan Villeneuve made a motion to nominate Duffy Smiley as the Conservation Commission Vice Chairman.  Second - Jeff Porter.  All in favor.

 

Alan Villeneuve made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Second – Stephanie Hanson.  All in favor.
